Simply click on ‘Find a Musician’ above and from here you can view the profiles, photos, music, biographies and more or each artist. Once you are happy with the group or individual, you then make direct contact with that musician from their page. No middle man, no commissions and no hidden costs. Easy.
What kind of music can I book?
There are hundreds of combinations of music that can be booked, from string quartets to gypsy guitarists, Silver Note can provide the right music for your occasion. See our list of helpful suggestions to get you started.
Silver Note mostly specializes in classical, jazz and world performers, teachers and pedagogues for whatever your need, and is constantly expanding.
How much does it cost to book a musician/teacher?
Nothing! It’s absolutely free to peruse and contact that ideal musician for your event. It is then the musicians’ or teachers' fee as determined by them that is negotiated between you and the musician.
There are no hidden costs or commissions ever.
How far ahead should I book the group/musician/teacher?
To ensure that you get the person that you most desire for your event, it is best to book as far forward as is feasible.
How are musicians selected to be included on Silver Note?
Every musician, group, band, teacher and composer goes through a easy one-step application process to join Silver Note. After submission of application, a panel of qualified and professional musicians then either approves or declines their application.
Please take note, until the launch date (see the front page), membership to Silver Note is strictly via invitation only.
How much is membership as a musician or teacher?
Full membership to Silver Note as a musician, group or teacher starts at only $2.99 per/month. There is also the option to select a ‘free’ membership, which enables some of the basic features, but will limit your ability and potential to fully self-promote and obtain work.
There is also the option of selecting some of the higher membership options, which enable better exposure, site placement and even e-commerce solutions provided for selling your own music through Silver Note.

I need to hire a musician/group for my next function, where do I start?
Hiring a musician, group or teacher for your next function, wedding, or social occasion is as easy as starting a search in the box on the top right:
Starting here, you can find string quartets, folk ensembles, violinists and so much more. Otherwise, start a more direct and advanced search by clicking on ‘Find a Musician’ in the top menu and start from there.

How do I change/update my biography?
To change or update your biography on Silver Note, first you need to login.
To login, click on 'Login' tab in the top menu, where you will need to enter your email and password that you signed up with. If you cannot remember your password, click on "Ah oh, I've forgotten my password. Click here":
Once you login you will be taken to 'My Account' where you can renew your account credits (Standard and Pro accounts). Click on 'My Account Details' on the left menu, from here you can update/change your biography, photos, audio and more. Some options only available to Standard and Pro accounts.
